Jessica Mantekas

Jessica Mantekas, a native Charlottean, brings a wealth of estate planning and estate administration experience to our team.  A passionate advocate for the underserved and families experiencing tragedy, she excels at listening, developing and implementing legal solutions, and guiding clients to a place of peace.  Jessica most enjoys assisting clients who are in need of a compassionate counselor.

Upon graduating from the Charleston School of Law in South Carolina, Jessica moved to Clearwater, Florida and worked at a well-recognized local firm focused on probate and trust administrations, estate planning, Veterans Affairs and Medicaid planning, and guardianships.  Jessica then relocated back to North Carolina and gained additional experience in trusts and estates with a North Carolina-based firm prior to joining our team.  While there, she honed her skills working on planning and probate matters at all levels of wealth and complexity.

However, Jessica actually began her legal career well before law school. Her interest in the law was sparked while pursuing her bachelor's degree at Florida State University and while interning at the county courthouse. There, she worked with probation officers and state attorneys on criminal pretrial release and probation cases.  Later, while in law school, Jessica interned at Charleston Pro Bono Legal Services aiming to provide access to legal services to low-income families where she was introduced to estate planning, probate, and guardianship work.  During her final year of law school, Jessica enrolled in an Elder Law practicum under Charleston's nationally recognized Judge Irvin Condon.  She participated in Judge Condon's Adult Guardianship and Assistance Monitoring Program by serving as a court monitor to ensure that adult wards under open guardianships were receiving good and proper care.

Jessica continues to find new ways to deliver outstanding solutions to our clients along with superior client service.  A recent client wrote to Jessica saying, “You are an excellent attorney from an analytical/research perspective, but it is your communication skills that put you over the top.”

In her spare time, Jessica enjoys dance, fitness, golf, and spending time with family who immigrated to the US from Germany and Greece.
