ESTATE ADMINISTRATION PARALEGAL
Erin Patterson Law, PLLC is seeking a full time, experienced Estate Administration Paralegal to join our busy boutique law firm located in the Dilworth neighborhood, just outside of Uptown Charlotte. The firm focuses solely on estate planning and estate administration, serving clients in both North and South Carolina.
Professional Qualifications:
- Minimum 2 years of experience in estate administration/probate and trust administration at a law firm is required
- Experience supporting multiple attorneys and working directly with clients
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Adobe and other legal software used by the firm
- Notary Public certification a plus
Responsibilities:
- Assist attorneys in preparation for and during client conferences including reviewing intake information, estate documents, and financial data
- Draft probate and estate administration documents such as court filings and accountings for attorney review
- Effectively manage a robust caseload by prioritizing tasks, understanding the internal and external parties involved, and monitoring relevant deadlines
- Organize and maintain voluminous electronic client files and documents
- Assist clients by answering questions and providing instructions on non-legal matters
- Prepare, review and deliver correspondence and documents to clients, government agencies, financial institutions, and other professional advisors
